An authentic, 50-year-old vintage rug hand-knotted in the Denizli region of Western Anatolia. This piece features a distinct floral design—likely a stylized interpretation of the "Isparta Rose" motif—set against a creamy beige field with a classic rust-red border. Its dimensions make it a perfect "Gallery" size, ideal for wide hallways, entryways, or alongside a bed.
Rust-Red Border (Madder Root): The earthy, grounded red is achieved using Madder root (Rubia tinctorum), a classic Anatolian pigment that provides a warm, non-synthetic frame to the floral field.
Pastel Pinks (Pomegranate & Light Madder): These delicate rose tones are created by varying the acidity of pomegranate skins or light concentrations of madder root, resulting in a "dusty" pink that resists the harshness of modern chemicals.
Soft Greens (Indigo over Yellow Flowers): The organic greens in the leaf motifs are a result of "double-dyeing"—using Natural Indigo over a base of yellow-producing Wild Camomile or Weld.
Creamy Beige (Natural Highland Wool): The luminous field is the natural, undyed wool of the region, chosen for its high lanolin content which gives the rug its "silky" sheen and aged patina.
Origin: Denizli, Turkey
Age: Semi-antique (approx. 50 years old)

Styling Note
The pastel pinks and soft greens in the floral motifs offer a softer, romantic aesthetic that pairs beautifully with wood floors and neutral interiors.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
The Deep Clean: Every 2 to 5 years, have the rug professionally "wet-washed" by an Oriental rug specialist.
What to Avoid: Never steam clean or dry clean an Anatolian rug. The heat and chemicals will strip the natural oils from the wool, leaving it brittle and prone to shedding.
