This 40-year-old rug from the Mut region (Taurus Mountains) showcases the intricate Cicim (brocading) technique, where extra weft threads are woven over the base to create a raised, embroidered effect. It is a rare Yoruk nomadic piece with "heavy dark wool tassels.
-
Design: An all-over lattice of nested diamonds and lozenges. The pattern is incredibly dense and rhythmic, featuring traditional Yoruk (nomadic) geometric symbols. Uniquely crafted with extended threads along a single edge, this design distinguishes the piece as a dedicated wall tapestry rather than a floor covering.
-
Features: Notable for its heavy dark wool tassels at the top, a traditional finishing touch that adds tactile character and weight to the piece. It's 100% hand-spun wool
-
Color Palette: A sophisticated mix of muted gold, plum, cream, and olive green, all from natural dye giving it a soft, earthy aesthetic.

Care Instructions
The Deep Clean: Every 2 to 5 years, have the rug professionally "wet-washed" by an Oriental rug specialist.
What to Avoid: Never steam clean or dry clean an Anatolian rug. The heat and chemicals will strip the natural oils from the wool, leaving it brittle and prone to shedding.
