This 40-year-old rug from the Mut region (Taurus Mountains) showcases the intricate Cicim (brocading) technique, where extra weft threads are woven over the base to create a raised, embroidered effect. It is a rare Yoruk nomadic piece with "heavy dark wool tassels.

  • Design: An all-over lattice of nested diamonds and lozenges. The pattern is incredibly dense and rhythmic, featuring traditional Yoruk (nomadic) geometric symbols. Uniquely crafted with extended threads along a single edge, this design distinguishes the piece as a dedicated wall tapestry rather than a floor covering.
